SOIC-8 microchip with DC-Car encapsulation.
The K5 module provides the typical triple tone of the horns of Swiss PostBus buses. You can choose between one and two tone sequences.
The sound module is activated and deactivated with the output of the sound module of the DC-Car decoder, a 1KΩ resistor is required, or with a hall sensor.
In the example scheme, the light output 2 defines the repetition of the tone sequences. Any other constant light output can be used. If a flash type output is used, the CVs must be modified so that the output is continuous (without flickering).
If manual switching is not desired, pin 7 of the sound module can be connected with the negative cable, or left unconnected.
