More info

The data from the master decoder is sent to the trailer decoder with out wires. This avoid connectors and the trailer can be detached easily.

Data is sent by a IR emitter with a 220 Ω resistor, conected to the "Trailer + Serial output" of the decoder, just before the original resistor of the decoder.

This LED is above the coupling of the tractor and radiates towards the towing. The LED must be mounted at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. The IR phototransistor is placed in the hook triangle, max. distance to the IR-LED not more than +/- 1 cm!

For the phototransistor, a special type with a large reception range has been selected.

In the trailer the IR amplifier (IRVA) is connected to the serial input of the decoder.

The trailer should have its own battery, and of course on/off switch and charging connector.
