These resistors must be placed in series with the reed switch of any Car System vehicle equipped with a DC-Car digital decoder that operates at a voltage of 3.7V. Otherwise, the decoder may be damaged.
The 1206 smd package (0.126"×0.063" / 3.2mm×1.6mm) is a smaller alternative to the ¼W resistors that occupy more space, which is quite limited in smaller vehicles.
